World’s Greatest Shave

Published Categorized as Life
Probably I will look something like this. Yup.

The World’s Greatest Shave is something that I’ve been meaning to participate in for a few years now, but only just mustered up the courage! It’s run by the Leukaemia Foundation, and raises money for research and support for patients with blood related cancers. Participants take donations from sponsors and on 15th-17th March shave their head or dye their hair.

I’m rather attached to my hair (literally and figuratively), but I think this is a really great cause and I’m hoping my lovely long locks will entice people sponsor me! All you have to do is go to my page and hit the big orange SPONSOR ME button and put in your details. Or if you see me fairly often, I can take your donation and give you a receipt. Even a little bit helps, so please don’t feel sheepish about making a smaller donation than the amounts suggested. I’ll do shoutouts to sponsors here on my blog, so I suppose you can also sort of consider it advertising. I’ll post some ‘after’ photos here on the blog as proof after the shaving. There’s also some photos on the page to show how long my current hair is.

So come on and sponsor me!

  1. Good on you! I did this with a friend a few years ago and we raised a few thousand between us. We both had long hair too, which I think really encourages people to donate more. You will probably have people offering you money to NOT shave your head (mainly the older/parent crowd).
